Extra Stout takes Tinmouth to Ireland for the evening

Friday, Sept. 26 at 7:30 p.m. — TINMOUTH — The Old Firehouse in Tinmouth was once a Grange Hall, but on Friday, Sept. 26 at 7:30 p.m., it will become an Irish pub when Extra Stout fills the hall with its Irish singing, whistling and fiddling.

Extra Stout is a traditional Irish band that brings raucous drinking songs, ballads of home and country, slow and haunting airs, and then some rocking reels, jigs and polkas. Six engaging vocalists lend their voices to great songs from Ireland’s rich history, while skillfully playing a variety of instruments – guitars, fiddle, whistles, drums, and more.

The Old Firehouse is located at 7 Mountain View Road in downtown Tinmouth. A donation of $10 is suggested. Doors open at 7 p.m. Coffee, tea, and locally made treats are available, provided by local groups to support their activities.
