Fair Haven holds first Christmas concert in the Park

Friday, Nov. 28 at 4 p.m. — FAIR HAVEN — The Fair Haven Concerts in the Park Committee had several requests this summer for a winter or Christmas themed concert. To honor those requests, a Christmas Concert in the Park, complete with Santa Claus, cookies, and a holiday sing-along ,will be held Friday,  Nov. 28 at 4 p.m.

In case of inclement weather, the concert will move to Saturday, Nov. 29.

Like the summer series, this  is a family friendly event. The Fair Haven Fire Department has volunteered to bring Santa to the park riding on the fire engine. As always, concert volunteers will be on hand to serve up goodies like hot chocolate and cookies. Sound engineers will be providing the music, but the community will be adding their voices to the mix to make for a more festive concert experience.

At 4:30 p.m., Santa will leave on the fire truck from the fire station, arriving at the Free Parking area at the south end of the park, and then will make his way to the gazebo to interact with children and concert goers.

At 5 p.m., there will be the lighting of the Christmas tree in the fountain.
