First Wednesdays Talk in Rutland Cancelled and Rescheduled

Rutland ~ The Vermont Humanities Council‘s First Wednesdays lecture with Dartmouth professor Jane Carroll, scheduled for tonight, Wednesday, February 4, at Rutland Free Library at 7:00 pm has been has been rescheduled to Wednesday, June 3. The talk,“Knight to Queen: Chess, Courtly Life, and the Game of Love in the Middle Ages,” is part of the Vermont Humanities Council’s First Wednesdays series.

First Wednesdays is held on the first Wednesday of every month from October through May in nine regional hub communities statewide, featuring speakers of national and regional renown. The program is free, accessible to people with disabilities and open to the public.

The Vermont Department of Libraries is the statewide underwriter of First Wednesdays.“Knight to Queen” is underwritten by Merchants Bank.
