Get in the Spirit at the Vermont Holiday Festival in Killington

Dec. 6 at 4 p.m.—KILLINGTON—The Vermont Holiday Festival kicks off on Dec. 6 and runs thru Dec. 7. It features close to 100 beautifully decorated Christmas trees for visitors to enjoy, plus activities for the entire family and chances to win great prizes.

Children can create a holiday keepsake in Santa’s Workshop and meet Santa himself, or sit for story time with Mrs. Claus. Families can take a horse drawn wagon ride around the base of Killington Mountain or stay inside and enjoy the live music and many vendors.

On Dec. 7, the centerpiece of the Vermont Holiday Fest is the Festival of Trees. Attendees purchase raffle tickets to vote on their favorite tree. The three trees with the most tickets at the end of the event win the “People’s Choice” award.

This event has been a holiday favorite for over 16 years, drawing more than 1,000 people every year. Festivities run from 4-8 p.m. on Friday and 1-7 p.m. on Saturday at the Killington Grand Hotel. Admission is free with a non-perishable food item or $10 per adult without a donation, and $5 ages 12 plus without a donation.  Children 11 and under are free.
