Get prepared in the event of an emergency with CERT course

WOODSTOCK—If there was a community disaster, would you be prepared? Would you like to learn skills that will help you, your family, and your community during an emergency? Would you like to help out when needed, but don’t know what to do or where to go?
The Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) basic training program is designed to help train citizens how to help themselves, their family, and their community immediately after an emergency. Modules include: Disaster Preparedness, Fire Safety and Suppression, Disaster Medical Operations, Light Search and Rescue, CERT Organization, Disaster Psychology, and Terrorism. There will be a CERT Basic Training Course offered April 8, 9, and 15. The course is 20 hours to be held in Woodstock. There is no charge for the course and anyone age 16 and older is welcome to attend.
Contact Brad Salzmann at falcon15@earthlink.net for more information or to register. Please put CERT in the subject line.
