GKWC hosts free movie night

Thursday, Nov. 3 at 6 p.m.—KILLINGTON—The Greater Killington Women’s Club (GKWC) is hosting a free movie night on Thursday, Nov. 3, 6-9 p.m. at the Sherburne Library at 2998 River Road, Killington. There will be time to mix and mingle before the film starts at 6:30 p.m.
The film “Calendar Girls” will be shown. This is an inspirational comedy film about a women’s club in England that comes up with a highly creative and successful fundraising project. Snacks and beverages will be provided; however, donations of soft drinks, popcorn and snacks are also appreciated.
The GKWC (formerly known as the Sherburne Women’s Club) is a civic organization founded in Killington over 50 years ago. In more than a half century of service to the Killington community, the club has given away over $100,000 to local organizations, schools and non-profits. The club invites members (current, former and potential) to join and consider supporting this very worthwhile organization that does so much for the community.
