Glow golf tournament and a wine tasting event benefits Lake Bomoseen water quality

Friday and Saturday, Oct. 3-4 — BOMOSEEN — The first weekend of October will be busy on Lake Bomoseen. The venue for a glow golf tournament and a wine tasting is the Prospect Point Golf Course and Harpo’s Grille on the Water. Registration starts at 6 p.m. Friday with tee offs at 6:30 p.m.  Teams of four players play with carts, balls and greens all lit up for the shots. A beverage cart and food and drink will be available to purchase. Tickets are available at the golf course, they are $40 each.

Then, on Saturday, Oct. 4, the SiP BOMOSEEN wine tasting event will be held at Harpo’s Grille from 4-6 p.m. Sample 14 wines provided by Farrell Distributing, six whites, six reds and two sparklings. Hot and cold appetizers are included along with your ticket price. Tickets are $30 each or $50 per couple and can be purchased at Harpo’s Grille, Century 21 Bird Real Estate and Gilmore Home Center.

Proceeds from both events are being donated to the Lake Bomoseen Association water quality committee. The LBA is looking to purchase a harvester to kill the Milfoil, an invasive weed which has gotten out of control.

Tickets for both events are limited, early reservations are encouraged.
