J.P. MURPHY

Thursday, Aug. 6 at 7 p.m. — FAIR HAVEN — Irish band J.P. Murphy will be performing in the Fair Haven Park on Thursday, Aug. 6 at 7 p.m. as part of the summer music festival. With a tremendous energy, J.P. Murphy will engage the audience in many of their songs.

The group performs the traditional Irish music that reflects the struggles as well as the triumphs of an enduring, fun loving people. The great battle songs like the “Patriots Game” and “James Connolly” bring listeners back to a time where people’s strength came from the heart and music was the medium that carried the message of unity. The drinking songs made famous throughout the world like “Whiskey in the Jar” and “Wild Rover” are arranged and performed to get feet stomping and hearts pounding.

In addition to great Irish music, free ice cream will be served. Bring your lawn chairs and blankets and enjoy a frozen treat with some toe-tapping, hand-clapping tunes.
