July First Friday features lecture on orchid watercolors of WPA Carl Ramsey

Friday, July 1 at 7:15 p.m. — GRANVILLE, N.Y. — Jon Mathewson will give a gallery talk titled “A New Deal for the Hills and the Valleys,” for the Slate Valley Museum’s July First Friday program. Jon Mathewson is the curator at the Dorset Historical Society and Bley House Museum and is an expert on these WPA orchid watercolor paintings. The Carl T Ramsey orchid paintings in the summer exhibit are currently on loan from the Dorset Historical Society. Mathewson will deliver his talk twice to accommodate late arrivals and the First Friday event at the Pember. The first talk will be at 7:15 p.m. and the second one will follow at 8:15 p.m.
