Kilcullen to speak at CSJ commencement ceremony

Sunday, May 15 at 1 p.m. — RUTLAND — Brian Kilcullen, chief of the Rutland City Police Department, will be the speaker at College of St. Joseph’s commencement ceremony at 1 p.m. Sunday, May 15 in the Athletic Center.

Kilcullen has more than 20 years of experience in law enforcement, having served with the Schenectady, N.Y. police department for most of his career. He served as chief of police there from 2013-2015 and was awarded the Patroon Award, the city’s highest award recognizing a lifetime of service. He took over as Rutland City police chief in November 2015. Other experience includes serving with the Utah Olympic Public Safety Command during the XIX Olympic Winter Games in Salt Lake City in 2002. He is a member of the International Assoc. of Chiefs of Police, the Vt. Assoc. of Chiefs of Police, and the National Ski Patrol.
