Larceny from a vehicle reported at Northwood Park

RUTLAND — On Jan. 26, troopers from the Rutland State Police Barracks responded to a report of a car break-in at Northwood Park in Rutland Town. Maxine Garfinkel, age 80 from Rutland City, advised that she parked her vehicle to walk with a friend before running errands and noticed when she returned that her window was broken and her purse was missing. Along with her purse and its contents was a distinctive yellow wallet that she had purchased on a trip to Italy many years ago. Vermont State Police are looking for assistance; anyone with information or anyone in the area of North Woods Park between 1:30-2:30 p.m. is encouraged to contact the Vermont State Police at 802-773-9101. Information can also be submitted anonymously online atwww.vtips.info or text “CRIMES” (274637) to Keyword: VTIPS
