Let ‘em ski it!

By Paul Holmes and Polly Lynn

Skiers and riders didn’t seem to mind the patches of mud linking the larger areas of snow on Skye Lark, in fact, many seemed to enjoy the mud and fast-grass more! Warm weather may have accelerated the melt, but it’s also increased the fun!

While Superstar boasted top-to-bottom skiing on snow, Skye Lark was also open and the crowds were thrilled! Dozens of daredevils could be seen at any given time skiing, riding, hiking, falling in the mud, skimming over fast grass, building kickers and cheering on their friends and having an absolute ball of a time! When other resorts might rope off a trail once top-to-bottom skiing was no longer possible, Killington Resort says “let ‘em ski it!” and keeps the fun alive!

The longest season in the East will continue Friday, when Killington reopens for the long Memorial Day weekend — four consecutive days of soft bumps and late-May sunshine!

K-1 Lodge will be open Friday through Monday too offering tickets, rentals and guest services. Food and beverage service will be available at K-1 Cafe, with Mahogany Ridge and Roaring Brook Umbrella Bars open for guests’ apres ski enjoyment.

Friday, will be Killington’s 189 operating day of this season!
