Marble Valley Players perform Shakespeare’s original “rom-com”

Feb. 12-14 — WEST RUTLAND — The Marble Valley Players presents the original “rom-com” by William Shakespeare just in time for your special Valentine’s Day, “Much Ado About Nothing.” Director Jenna Carlson has set this timeless play in modern day. The primary plot turns on the courtship and scandal involving young Hero and her suitor, Claudio, but the witty war of words between Claudio’s friend Benedick and Hero’s cousin Beatrice often takes center stage. These two bright individuals swear they will never fall in love or marry.

Performances are Feb. 12 and 13 at 7 p.m., and Feb. 14 at 2 p.m. at the West Rutland Town Hall Theater. Tickets are $15 for adults. Students, seniors and military are $12, available at the door or in advance at the Paramount Box Office , 802-775-0903 and online at paramountvt.org. West Rutland Town Hall is located at 35 Marble St., West Rutland.
