Mill River students run through a dress rehearsal of the Tony-award nominated musical, “Man of La Mancha.”

Nov. 20-21 at 7:30 p.m. — NORTH CLARENDON — On Friday and Saturday, Nov. 20 and 21 at 7:30 p.m., Mill River’s award winning theater program, Stage 40 presents the Tony-award nominated musical “Man of La Mancha” at Mill River Union High School.

Based on Miguel de Cervantes’ classic book “Don Quixote,” “Man of La Mancha” is one of the most produced musicals in American theater. While awaiting a hearing with the Inquisition, Cervantes presents a play as his defense in a mock trial for his fellow prisoners. In it he plays a man who has set his own reality aside and become Don Quixote de la Mancha. Assisted by Sancho Panza, Quixote attempts to avoid his mortal enemy, the Enchanter, and woo the serving wench Aldonza, whom he takes to be the lady Dulcinea.

Join us for an evening of enchanting musical theater in the Mill River auditorium. Tickets can be purchased at the door. General admission $12, seniors $10. Student prices are available. For more information, visit www.facebook.com/stage40.
