Okemo hosts family-style and adult New Year’s Eve celebrations

Saturday, Dec. 31 at 5 p.m.—LUDLOW—Midnight arrives early at Okemo, for friends and family enjoying a variety of activities. Jackson Gore Village will host a Family New Year’s Eve party on Saturday, Dec. 31, 5-9 p.m.
Following early evening ice skating, snow tubing, mountain coaster rides, horse-drawn wagon rides, party hat decorating, bingo games and a trivia tournament, families can ring in the New Year early with a DJ dance party—and still get the kids to bed in time for a full day on the slopes the next day. Party games, balloons, noisemakers and fireworks add to the New Year celebration, complete with a pizza party dinner in the Roundhouse at Jackson Gore.
For just the adults, the mountain is trying a new event this year, the first-ever New Year’s Eve Sneaker Ball starting at 7:30 p.m. at Epic . Wear your New Year’s finest, but your dancing shoes should be sneakers with some flair.
Chef Jason of Epic has created a five-course tasting menu and music will be by the legendary Chris Kleeman Band. Upon arrival at Epic (via shuttle from Jackson Gore), guests will be greeted by a green-screen photo booth to capture all the fun and festivities. All guests will receive a goodie bag and champagne toast.
Tickets for either event  may be purchased at okemo.com. For more info and a complete schedule of times, call 802-228-1600 or visit the website.
