Okemo hosts second Cares and Shares Food Drive of its season

Sunday, March 20 — LUDLOW — On Sunday, March 20, Okemo Mountain Resort will host its spring Cares and Shares Food Drive. When skiers and snowboarders donate at least five non-perishable food items, their generosity will be rewarded with an entire day of skiing and riding at Okemo for just $39 that same day. Donations will be collected in the Clock Tower ticket plaza and at the Jackson Gore resort services desk from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Okemo’s Mountain Ambassadors will be accepting food and cash donations in exchange for coupons that skiers and riders may redeem for discounted lift tickets at the ticket window on March 20. All donations will go to The Black River Good Neighbor Services Food Shelf.

“The Cares and Shares Food Drive benefiting our food shelf is a tremendous boost as it comes at a time when donations can be slow,” said Black River Good Neighbors Food Program Administrator Krey Kellington. “Okemo’s generosity allows Black River Good Neighbors to further support our neighbors in need, and especially at critical times. We are extremely appreciative!”
