Okemo’s Coleman Brook Tavern debuts Farmhouse Dinner series

Saturday, June 25—LUDLOW—Coleman Brook Tavern, Okemo Mountain Resort’s premier restaurant, introduces its Farmhouse Dinner series. Six communal, artisanal dinners featuring great hospitality, a fun atmosphere and delicious local foods are scheduled on Saturday evenings throughout the summer: June 25, July 9, July 23, Aug. 20, Sept. 3 and Sept. 17.
Coleman Brook Tavern’s Farmhouse Dinners will celebrate the bounty of Vermont’s terroir, its producers and food creations in a family-style setting. One large table will be set for dinner and everyone will eat together. Each week will feature a different menu and some of Okemo’s farmer partners will be in attendance.
“This kind of dinner is rare in this country. You might be apt to find this in European culture,” said Okemo Mountain Resort Executive Sous Chef Jason Tostrup. “Sharing a meal with a group of other ‘foodie types’ is a culinary adventure. Trying a food or dish in a way you might not have tried before takes you to another country–one bite at a time.”
Executive Chef Scot Emerson and Chef Jason Tostrup are committed to sourcing local ingredients and giving new meaning to the term “farm-to-table.” They work with dozens of local farmers and food producers. Coleman Brook Tavern’s Butcher Block menu showcases local organic proteins and Dock to Table offers seasonal seafood from around the globe.
The Farmhouse Dinner Series is offered with limited seating. Reservations are required by calling 802-228-1435.
