Pancake breakfast season begins in West Pawlet

Event raises funds for VFD
Sunday, Sept. 11 at 7:30 a.m.—WEST PAWLET—The fundraiser pancake breakfast season begins on Sunday, Sept. 11, sponsored by the West Pawlet Volunteer Fire Department. The breakfasts are held at the West Pawlet Volunteer Fire Department located at 2806 VT Route 153 (Main Street) from 7:30 to 11 a.m. The West Pawlet firehouse is a handicap accessible site. All are welcome.
The breakfast menu includes pancakes of several varieties including regular, chocolate chip, blueberry and cranberry, and local maple syrup; as well as waffles, West Pawlet’s world-famous home fries, scrambled eggs, sausage and bacon; plus beverages.
Breakfast prices are $10 for age 12 and up; $5 for age 5-12; and free to children under the age of 5. As a charity fund-raiser event, breakfast profits are dedicated for the department’s equipment and training needs. The department is a non-profit. Donations are appreciated and are gratefully received. New members are welcome.
