Pico closes for the season with “food-raiser” to benefit BROC

April 3-5 — MENDON — Pico Mountain ends the season with a “food-raiser” during it’s closing bonus weekend, April 3-5, when discounted single-day lift tickets will be available at the Pico Ticketing Sales Center. With a donation of three non-perishable food items, one-day lift tickets will be just $25 for all ages.

This promotion supports BROC-Community Action in Southwest Vermont, a nonprofit organization which provided over 40,000 meals to low-income Vermonters last year.

“There are so many families throughout Rutland County that come to our emergency food shelf each day that the demand outweighs the supply at times. Events like this help us keep the shelves stocked in order to continue serving everyone,” says Pamela Shambo, Development Specialist at BROC.

“At Pico we strive to support our community in every way possible. This ‘food-raiser’ is a great way for our guests to get involved and give back while enjoying their final turns of the season,” said Tracy Taylor, director of operations for Pico Mountain.
