Planning Commission workshop focus on what works locally for economic development

Wednesday & Thursday, Oct. 1 & 2 — RUTLAND — The Rutland Regional Planning Commission invites you to be part of “Finding the Sweet Spot: New Approaches to Economic Development in the Rutland Region,” a groundbreaking campaign to spur economic development and focus efforts on more locally-lead, regional efforts. The campaign will kick off with a series of presentations and workshops on Oct. 1 and 2.

Erik Pages from EntreWorks Consulting, an economic development and policy development firm, will help to explore New Approaches to Economic Development in the Rutland Region. His presentation will be followed by more in-depth discussion on local wealth creation.

The public is invited to the first event of the campaign, “Finding the Sweet Spot: New Approaches to Economic Development in the Rutland Region” at Franklin Center at the Howe Center, 1 Scale Ave, Rutland from 5:30 – 8:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 1.
