POULTNEY—The Poultney Earth Fair is an annual tradition that draws hundreds of people from the local region to celebrate the environment and community. This year the 9th Annual Poultney Earth Fair will be held on Wednesday, April 13 from 2-5 p.m. at Poultney High School, a week earlier than usual due to scheduling conflicts with school vacation time. The event is free and open to the public.
This year’s Earth Fair theme, selected by the Poultney High School 8th graders, is “The Story of Our Earth.” Students will be providing education, empowerment, and a voice for those trying to address some of the biggest issues faced in our history including climate change, hunger, and poverty. All of this is done in the spirit of celebration. There is plenty of family fun including free food, music, and activities for all ages.
Children, adults, organizations and businesses are cordially invited to explore this theme and present at the fair in the form of a display, booth, demonstration, or activity. It is a great opportunity to be one of the 60 exhibitors who have made this event so successful for the past eight years; it’s a great chance to inspire the hundreds of people who attend.

As always, everything at the fair is free: fresh organic pizzas and other locally produced food, live music, and a variety of educational activities presented by Poultney schools, Green Mountain College, and organizations from the local region. The scavenger hunt with its local prizes will also be bigger and better this year.
