Powder hunting, it’s not difficult!

By Polly Lynn

With over 14 feet of natural snow that has fallen this winter (Killington Resort and Okemo Mountain Resort both reporting that approx. 170 inches have fallen thus far) powder conditions are not hard to find! While resorts have relaxed their backcountry policies allowing skiers and riders to ski much of the gladed terrain between runs, the bitter cold temperatures could make such adventures dangerous. Recently police issued a warning for skiers and riders not to venture past resort boundaries as rescue missions are much more critical and difficult at sub-zero temperatures.
