Red Knights lead motorcycle ride; includes blessing and BBQ

Sunday, May 17 — RUTLAND — The Red Knights (Firefighters) Motorcycle Club (Vermont Chapter 3) and All Saints’ Anglican Church present the 2nd annual Motorcycle Blessing and BBQ at the Vermont Police Academy on Sunday, May 17. The day begins with a one hour scenic ride lead by Rutland County Sheriff Steve Benard and Road Guards from RKMCVT3. Registration begins at 10 a.m. at the Ponderosa Steakhouse parking lot (559 Route 7 South in Rutland). The ride departs promptly at 11 a.m. with arrival at the Vermont Police Academy in Pittsford at noon.

The Motorcycle Blessing will be delivered by Father Andrew Carlson of All Saints’ Anglican Church followed by a delicious barbecue provided by church volunteers. Music will be provided by Craig and Cathy Robideau of C&C Music Show. Cash and prize raffles will also be available.

The ride and blessing are $10 per bike (passenger included). Registered riders are entitled to participate in the barbecue for an extra $5 more per person.
