Road construction scheduled for week of June 15

Here is a list of road construction projects happening throughout Vermont. Please remember to drive safely in all work zones. Lives depend on it.

Interstates:

I-189 Burlington – South Burlington – Nightwork for a resurfacing project between 7 p.m. and 6 a.m. Motorists can expect lane closures.

I-89 Berlin – A bridge project is underway. Northbound and Southbound traffic are reduced to one lane each for the season. One-way alternating traffic will be in effect along Crosstown Rd. Delays may occur.

I-89 Richmond – Colchester – Nightwork for a paving project between 7 p.m. and 6 a.m. Motorists will encounter single lane closures Northbound between Exits 11 and 14.

I-89 Waterbury – Richmond – Nightwork this week throughout the project limits both Northbound and Southbound for paving and bridge operations. Motorists will see lane and speed reductions.

I-91 Hartland –Motorists can expect lane reductions Northbound and Southbound, with reduced speeds enforced in the work zone as bridge replacement operations continue.

I-91 Rockingham Bridges – The bridge replacement project is progressing, with lane and speed reductions in place. Rolling Roadblocks will be deployed Monday, 06/15, causing 20-minute delays at Exit 5 Northbound at 8 a.m. and 10 a.m., and Exit 7 Southbound at 12:30 p.m. and 1:30 p.m. Please plan accordingly.

Rutland and Windsor Counties:

Bethel – Bridge replacement activities along VT 12. Motorists should expect some gravel roadway with increased in-road activity on the job site. Minimal delays.

Castleton – Continued ledge stabilization activities along VT 30. A lane closure is in place with traffic regulated by a temporary signal. Expect minor delays at the signal location.

Fair Haven – Guardrail work and milling operations along VT 22A. Motorists will encounter one-way alternating traffic with minor delays.

Hartford – A roundabout project begins along US 5. Traffic will be reduced to one thru lane and one turn lane in each direction of US 5 from the I-91 interchange continuing past the Junction Marketplace.

Londonderry – Chester – Drainage, paving, and guardrail work along VT 11 this week. There will be one-way flagged traffic in multiple areas, causing some delays.

Pittsford – US 7 is under reconstruction. One truck lane is closed Southbound. Minor delays can be expected with short stoppages of traffic as crews move equipment around the construction zone. Please note that a speed reduction is in place.

Poultney – Expect some alternating one-way traffic along VT 30 and VT 31 for line striping.

West Rutland – Multiple projects are underway. Paving operations along VT 4A, with signal and trench work at the intersection of BUS 4 and VT 4A. Motorists can expect one-way alternating traffic with some delays.
