RRMC presents concussion discussion, info for athletes, parents, coaches

Wednesday, Nov. 28, 6 p.m.—MANCHESTER CENTER— It is estimated that in the United States, several million sport-related concussions occur each year. Rutland Regional Medical Center will be holding a free community presentation on concussion injury, Wednesday, Nov. 28 from 6-8 p.m. at the Maple Street School, 322 Maple St., Manchester Center.

Certified Athletic Trainers from iSport and Vermont Orthopaedic Clinic will discuss the latest and most up to date information on concussion injuries. They will discuss the myths and misconceptions concerning concussions and provide information regarding the diagnosis of an injury as well as return-to-learn and return-to-play guidelines.
