Rutland Area Toastmasters to host open house with guest speaker

Tuesday, March 31 at 6 p.m. — RUTLAND — Rutland Area Toastmasters invites residents to its open house to meet members and watch special guest speaker Peg Flory, State Senator from Rutland, talk about the importance of communication skills for today’s professional. The open house will take place on Tuesday, March 31 from 6-7 p.m. at Community College of Vermont, 60 West Street, Rutland, in the Community Room.

The Rutland Area Toastmasters club is not a service club; it is an educational organization open to all. It exists solely for the benefit of its members, offering an inexpensive, proven program in effective communication and leadership. Unlike many other courses, it does not function in a classroom environment, but better described as a workshop, in which each member learns and develops communication and leadership skills through constant participation. The club has witnessed vast improvement in every participating member.

Rutland Area Toastmasters club meets the first and third Tuesdays of each month at 6 p.m. at the Rutland High School, Room 16, Red Wing.
