Rutland County Republicans host “Pizza and Politics”

Oct. 15 – RUTLAND — There’s no substitute for meeting your legislative candidates in person and asking how they will vote on key issues if elected. With that in mind, Rutland County Republican Chairperson Terry Burke is inviting the public to a pizza party with some politics on the side on Oct. 15 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Godnick Center in Rutland.

“This is a fun and relaxed way for voters to meet the candidates and the candidates to meet the voters. We will also assist attendees not yet registered to vote to be registered in time for the Nov. 4 election.”

The event is free and open to the public. The candidates will introduce themselves and discuss their ideas for the upcoming session and meet with voters one on one.

“Vermont is facing several big issues that are directly effecting people of Rutland County such as high property taxes, a health exchange that does not work and a tough job market. I encourage people to get involved and cast their vote for candidates with solutions for these problems, and our candidates have them,” Burke added.
