Scientists talk of Greenland’s glacier melt

Nicholas Beaird and Rebecca Jackson talk of their research of climate change on Greenland.

Saturday, Nov. 14 at 4:30 p.m. — WOODSTOCK — Greenland’s ice sheet is shrinking at an accelerating rate and is a major contributor to global sea level rise. The fate of the ice sheet is tied to it’s interactions with the ocean. Join scientists Nicholas Beaird and Rebecca Jackson of Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution as they discuss their research documenting links between the North Atlantic Ocean and Greenland’s glaciers. The discussion will be held on Saturday, Nov. 14 at 4:30 p.m. at Woodstock’s Norman Williams Public Library, 10 the Green.
