Saturday, Feb. 8 at 5 p.m.—SVT has a full moon hike planned at the Fairgrounds Trailhead in East Poultney, located off Town Farm Road. Join SVT Events Committee member, Ted Barnett, and Program Manager, Silvia Cassano, on this casual-paced, no drop hike to catch a glimpse of the February Snow Moon as it rises, and revel in the solitude and hopeful glow of the night.
For the Full Moon Hike, bring a headlamp, dress for the weather, and wear appropriate footwear and spikes. Trekking poles optional. BYO thermos/water/picnic dinner. If there is enough snow, and you don’t own snowshoes, you can rent them with your library card at the Poultney, Middletown Springs and Fair Haven Public Libraries.
