Towns coordinate pick up, drop off, events surrounding Green Up Day

Grab your friends and family and join in! If you have never participated in Green Up Day, it is easy! Find your town’s information below, indexed by county.

Rutland  County:

Daphne Bartholomew – 537-2611
Bags available at the two stores, town office and transfer station. Leave bags along roadside and the town crew will pick them up.

James Leary – 247-9595
Pick up bags ath the Gazebo. Bring bags to transfer station or leave on roadsides.

Julie Finnegan – 468-5197
Bags can be picked up at Slate Valley PT on Route 4 next to the Iron Lantern or call the coordinator to arrange delivery. Bring bags to the transfer station or leave along the roadsides in pile for pick up.

Sara DeCubellis – 483-6868
Pick up bags at the Church of the Wildwood from 8-11:30 a.m., enjoy free coffee and donuts. Leave bags along roadsides for pick up.

Heather Kent – 747-4074
Bags available at Town Hall, Chippenhook Ballfield and Clarendon Post Office. Leave full bags along roadsides for pick up or bring to the dumpster behind Town Hall.

Bags available on Green Up Day at Smokey House Farm Stand the week of Green Up Day. Leave bags along roadsides.

Fair Haven
Bonnie Rosati – 265-4529
Bags are distributed on Green Up Day at the north end of of the Town Green from 8 a.m.-noon. Bags can be left along the roadsides or returned to the Town Green.

Janet Morey – 273-2950
Pick up bags at Town Clerk’s Office, Town Garage. Drop off at Town Hall on Monument Hill or leave on roadsides. All bags will be picked up Monday morning by the Hubbardton Highway Dept.

Cacky Ayer-Duffner – 235-2345
Bags available at the Town Clerk’s Office. Leave bags along roadsides.

Deb and Bob Burke – 422-3623
Bags available at the Town Clerk’s Office. Bring bags to the River Road Transfer Station. BBQ for volunteers at the Killington Road Firehouse.

Nancy Gondella – 775-1662
Bags available at the Town Office. Bags can be left on the roadsides of any town highway. Early participation the week before is welcomed. If you see a problem area in Mendon that you want to clean up, contact the town office for assistance.

Middletown Springs
Elizabeth Cooper – 235-1406
Pick up bags at the Town Green 8 a.m. to noon on GU Day or call the coordinator for bags to be delivered to your house. Drop off bags at Transfer Station. Refreshments provided.

Mount Holly
Lynne Herbst – 259-2823
Pick up bags and register road assignment at the library between 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Every child who participates is eligible to win a basket of Summer Fun (toys etc.). Every family is given a coupon for a free dozen farm raised eggs provided by the Plew Farm. Leaves bags on roadsides, town crews will pick up Monday.

Mount Tabor
Mt. Tabor Town Office – 293-5282
Bags available at the Town Clerk’s Office. Bring bags to Mt. Tabor Transfer Station Tuesday 3-5 p.m. and Saturday, 9 a.m.-2 p.m.

DeAnna Mach
Bags are distributed through Mettawee School, Town Clerk’s Office, with extra bags left on Town Clerk porch on GU Day. Leave bags at intersections or bring to Town Shed. Bags collected on Monday by Town Highway Department.
