VINS presents discussion on global politics and climate change

Wednesday, Nov. 30 at 6 p.m.—WHITE RIVER JUNCTION—The Vermont Institute of Natural Science (VINS) invites the public to join in a discussion on global politics and climate change, Brain Buzz: World Climate Exercise, on Wednesday, Nov. 30, 6-7 p.m. at the Upper Valley Food Co-op, 193 North Main Street, White River Junction.

The U.N.’s Paris Agreement set forth ambitious goals to reduce carbon emissions and limit the increase in global temperature to well below 2 degrees Celsius. The next step is for the world to find pathways to reach those goals. But why, when we know what we need to do, is it still so difficult to achieve those goals?

Find out for yourself, bring questions, and join a lively conversation with local residents and scientists. Step into the role of a world leader, engage in the dialogue of global politics, and understand what it will take to reach our climate goals.

For more information, visit vinsweb.org or call 802-359-5000 ext 245. This event is free and open to the public. Donations are appreciated.
