Yankee Chank ends the Proctorsville Concert Series

Wednesday, Aug. 10 at 6 p.m.—CAVENDISH—The Cavendish Community and Conservation Association presents the Cajun band Yankee Chank on the green in Proctorsville on Aug. 10 at 6 p.m. in last of the Wednesday evening concerts for the season.
Yankee Chank is a Vermont group that performs traditional Cajun music from the heart of southwest Louisiana. The Cajun tradition originated with the French-speaking people of eastern Canada (Acadia), and thereby inspired Yankee Chank. The band has been performing both Cajun and Zydeco music around Vermont and beyond since 1996, with fiddle, accordion, guitar and bass. The band’s performances offer a distinctive and high-energy immersion in this unique regional music.
All concerts are free and open to the public. Bring a blanket or a chair and a picnic dinner, join with friends or make new ones. For more information call Robin at 226-7736. In case of rain, check the Cavendish Facebook page.
